Chain Stitched Baby / Toddler Bandana Bib

This run of bandana bibs are done on 5.5 oz 100% combed ringspun cotton premium jersey with a velcro closure. These bibs have reversible colours (lavender/light pink, white/blue, banana/key lime, pink/natural) but the chain stitching will only look proper on one side, which is why you have to pick a primary colour. 

We do the chain stitching in our studio using a hand cranked chain stitch machine (see below). Lettering will be done in cursive and have a charming handmade quality (ie. no 2 letters will be perfectly the same). Name will be capitalized. 

Measures 16" (longest side) and 11" on the shorter sides

Chain stitching can be traced back to 1100 BC in China but machine chain stitch has been more recently used in the last 100 years for work wear, uniforms, western wear and embellishing clothing and fabrics. The direction of the needle is controlled by a hand cranked knob under the sewing table, so each letter is created by the machine operator (aka us!)
